There's a limit of 1000 characters that is set by Meta (Facebook) API. This means that if your reply message from Zendesk to Instagram exceeds 1000 characters, the message won't be sent. In this case, you’ll receive a notification inside a Zendesk ticket about the character limit being exceeded:
We’re working on improving the app to show a live character counter for agents when typing a reply. Optionally we'll auto-split longer replies into multiple messages (to comply with the 1000 character limit).
